First off, I'm not paid to write this. I'm writing this so others out there shopping for a solar motion lights won't waste as much money as I have on the other type with the curved lighted area. We are renovating a property that is completely off grid in Arizona. We are 100% solar power and have to use energy with prudence. At night, it is VERY dark outside and in parts of the unfinished areas of the house too. We use these lights in strategic areas in the house, along the eaves of the roof and in other places outside. They are awesome! They are very bright and provide ample light for us to see. We take them outside during the day to charge and the lights on these last from dusk, till the next morning. We use them at our primary house in Oklahoma for the patio too. Don't waste your money on the kind with the curved bottom. There are plenty of sellers out there shipping those out. The silicone seal that is supposed to keep rain out has completely deteriorated on all 8 that I purchased. The light only lasts a few hours. Big disappointment!!
