I ordered this speaker set not expecting all that much.....I mean, what can you get for $10? But I am pleasantly surprised. I've included a little video demonstration of the difference it makes with my laptop, which will tell you more than I could ever write. For this demonstration, I had pre-plugged in the USB and slid the speakers onto the top of my laptop and my laptop sound was at 100%. So the demo is solely for you to hear the difference in the sound WITH and WITHOUT the additional speakers. At one point, you will hear a little feedback...that's because I was fiddling with the audio jack. That was probably more of an issue with my laptop's audio in than the speakers themselves. I did get some distortion when I turned the speakers up all the way. The demo was with the speakers at about 85-90%. Hope this helps!
