I received this iron as a promotional offer, and although I wasn’t looking for new irons, I figured we could use a new one since the one we have is probably 10 years old and is somewhat unpredictable. There are many aspects of this iron that I like. For example, the display screen is a nice feature, and I appreciate the variety of options. Even though this is a pretty fancy iron with a light up display screen, it’s not over complicated or too high-tech. I also like that I can use the steam button for continuous steam if I don’t have an ironing board out and I just want to steam out some wrinkles (see video). The self clean button is another nice feature that I’ve never seen before. I really could have used that when we lived in a house that had well-water, as hard water can really take a toll on your appliances. The “pause” and auto-shut off feature is a must, as well. I appreciate the warning beep, in case you’re one of those people who doesn’t trust the auto shut off and prefers to always unplug your appliances its a good reminder. It’s also helpful if you actually are still planning to come back to it, and don’t want it to shut off yet. Believe it or not, I even appreciate the user manual, because it is straightforward, well-organized, and easy to read (font style, size, well-pictured diagram). Plus, it’s written in English, not 10 other languages with minuscule font and 25pages long. I really haven’t used this iron enough to notice any design flaws or other negative aspects yet. If something comes up, I will update my review to reflect it. Overall, this is a very nice iron that I am confident will last a long time.
