I ordered three sets of these Cambond compression cubes (for 3 different people) and I love the several things about them. I am traveling today and I am not checking a bag, everything fit into a Carry-on and my personal item. The reason for four stars instead of five was because the stitching on one corner of one yellow cube caught extra fabric thus not being able to open the cube completely to fill it with clothing items. So I am exchanging it for another set in same color, which explains the reason I’m using the purple and orange ones as seen in my photo. So if you purchase, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM, then please check each one carefully to make sure all the stitching is properly done. I was able to pack 33 clothing items into 5 packing cubes using 2 medium size and 3 small size cubes. For this 2+ week trip I did not use the large size cubes. All 5 of these clothing cubes fit into my carry-on along with 4 pairs of shoes, 1 pr. flip flops, toiletries and electronics. I even hope to pack using these cubes in November for a 3+ week trip to Europe, again using only my carry-on. I could not even begin to attempt that if it weren’t for these cubes. By the way FYI — I purchase nine different brands of packing cubes and tried them all out with same clothing items. For my needs, this set of Cambond came out on top. The stitching is really heavy duty, the zippers work great, the material is strong but thin and lightweight. The feature I liked that set this one apart from the others is that three sides opened, even curving around the corners to the 4th side in order to fill it. Some of the others didn’t open all the way which made it hard to pack items neatly inside. For me, I found folding flat in slightly smaller size than the base of the cube worked best as opposed to rolling. By not folding the clothes using the entire length and width of the cube base makes zipping up the compression zipper much easier. I do hope you find this review helpful.
