This is a definitely a product that you need to know everything before you buy it. 1. Looks; they do grow on you, so wait till you are past the first few views of it before making a decision. 2. Assembly; not bad. The main advice: separate all the tube supports and side panels by size, assembly goes by much faster if you can pick up tubes by size (length) and side panels. 3. Durability, this is the biggest drawback to these shelves: while the website states they are steel tubes, one not-so-hard whack with a wheelchair crumbled two of the upright supports, rendering the unit unsafe. UPDATE: Shortly after posting this review I was contacted by Songmics, who asked for a description of the problem, which I explained to them. And then without my asking, or their stating anything, I got a second email from them stating unequivocally that they would issue me a refund for the shelves. Unsolicited Customer Service like I received is absolutely priceless. For that reason I am upgrading my review from 3 stars to 4; they have earned it!
