This is a pretty darn good gift - Quote from 6 year old
This was a birthday gift for my 6 year old daughter who started pushing every kitchen chair, table, folding table, etc. together for ultimate forts. She was showing up the blankets with textbooks etc so I figured this might be a little safer and less stress. Pros: - easy to assemble (Some of the connectors needed a quick adult shove for first time use to get them in nice and tight) - Multiple configurations - Creative play - Sturdy (See below don’t cut corners) - Flexible poles for unique structures - Clear Instructions with suggestions - so much fun... mom and dad had fun too Cons: - it’s about 4 poles from something epic - Sturdiness is based on a little bit of engineering, don’t cut corners using less poles to make it bigger. Granted a goldendoodle or pet determined to break in may dislodge some connectors when there are heavier blankets on top. Overall this is a great gift and great starter fort kit. If you want something epic I might recommend buying 2 sets for parent comfort (a second level). I plan on ordering another set... well worth it for some epic forts especially when stuck indoors. Tips: if you have a king or queen sheet it’s much less hot than multiple blankets and puts less stress on the poles Do a quick push on connectors once it’s all put together you’d be surprised how much that fixes sturdiness issues Note: when you first connect the poles together I thought there’s no way this is so small it has to be a ripoff, but it was surprisingly decent sized once assembled. (Still recommend 2 sets for something amazing).
