Drop in replacement for my 3 year old 1800x (which served me well). Updated the BIOS on an x370 motherboard et voila! This monster is supported! I love it! More cores than you know what to do with, and an incredible single thread performance to boot. Incredible power efficiency as well. This is the best mainstream CPU on the market by quite some margin. I don't see myself upgrading any time soon, unless AMD changes the game yet again!
