I have been searching for a large palette with enough wells. In watercolor, it's as much about the individual pigment's properties as it is the color. So,, for instance, even though many colors look the same, the way the pigment behaves is completely different from paint to paint, to wit: 1. Staining or non-staining 2. Transparent, semi-transparent, semi-opaque, or opaque 3. Granulating or non-granulating. Additionally, there are new colors available that were not in use when most of the big palettes were put into production. For example, now there is the range of thirteen simply stunning Quinacridone colors available. I have included a photo of my palette filled with color and a shot of my Excel spreadsheet listing the colors.
