Update: I still love this feeder but after two months of use, the clock is off by about 30 minutes. So over time, the unit does not keep accurate time. You will need to adjust the time every so often to feed your pet at the correct time of day. I have two of these feeders and I have the same time keeping issue with both units. Original review: So far so good. We’ve used the feeder a couple of times and it has worked well. Pros: 1. My cats have been trying to knock it over to get to the food (they’re savages) but they haven’t been able to so far which is awesome. 2. The food comes out as programmed and on time so no complaints. 3. My cats bug this machine now for food and not me! 4. There are attachments which can help make the serving size smaller than the preprogrammed amounts. It’s a nice option but I did not use it as the programmed amounts were a sufficient amount for my cats. Cons: 1. The voice recorder is a little muffled and not very loud but still a neat feature. 2. The instructions leave little to be desired. It was pretty confusing trying to figure out how to program everything but once I figured it out, i realized its pretty simple to operate. 3. Also, you program the serving size by selecting a number 1-40 but the instructions don’t really explain the quantity of each serving. They do mention that 1 serving is 5/10 grams but there’s no translation into cups. I ended up googling it and through trial and error, I figured it out (2 servings = 1/4 cup). Overall, I would recommend but don’t expect much help from the instructions.
