incredible value
I got in on this deal when the cheap Cordey went for $99
.
But missed the deal before it sold out .
There was a "renewed" model for $75!!!
.
It said major cosmetic damage on the top.
um
there was 0 damage or scuffs on it.
.
Anyway, it's a fingerprint magnet (see photos) but who cares!?
.
If you go to youtube to look up vacuum reviews (I know I do)
look up Vacuum Wars, they have a budget robo vac test.
Or best value robo vac test.
.
The Cordey R500+ WINS!
.
they do suction tests and all that jazz I love Vacuum Wars.
.
My main level is pretty fragmented but I let the vacuum run around for a while just to see what was up.
I have 2 Ruggable rugs 5x7.
Unfortunately the rugs are very thin and lay on the ground on a velcro mat.
The edges curl a bit and the rug itself has no weight to it, so this vacuum and really any vacuum of this type (robo) will not do well with ruggable rugs. Granted these are 2 years old and about $125 per rug, if you have light rugs with lifted edges, this vacuum will not do well with them. It has a spring leg on the bottom so that it knows when it's being picked up or is hung up on something.
.
But really I got this guy for my upstairs. I have a 1.5 story house so the attic is a finished bedroom.
One big clear room.
I gathered the cables from like my lamp and phone charger etc, and mounted a little hook on the back of my nightstand so the cables in my bedroom were off the floor. Wrapped up the heater and fan plug cables. and set the little vacuum to town. I did the "auto function so it does an entire floor/room.
I set a boundary tape line across the steps so it wouldn't try to kill itself by falling down the stairs.
It was like $8 for 15ft of magnetic tape which you can use to stop the vacuum from going down stairs or to just avoid an object. Worked perfectly.
.
Once I set it to Auto, I left the house for about 4 hours and when I came back, my ridiculously dusty floor was spotless.
I was actually super super impressed. I figured it'd do a decent job, but my floor had no dust bunnies or a single piece of dirt...... Like you know you don't sweep under your bed often. It's dusty.
This guy got it all. It had a nice big bunch of dirt and dust in its bin when I checked.
I popped out the bin dumped it in the trash and slid it back in. How easy!!!
.
Would I buy a robo vac for $200-$300? Hellll no.
Would I buy one for $75-$99? you bet I would!
.
This guy doesn't have like phone app or wifi control or alexa....
You can remote control it from the remote, schedule cleaning time, or set different patterns.
It also has a home button which is so cool. It echo locates the base and tracks back to charge itself.
I love this little guy lol
