I was disappointed with other orchid mixes in the past but I like this orchid mix! The pieces of this mix tend to be more chunky which makes it good or bad depending on the type of orchids you have and the climate. If you need more moisture keep in mind that you can always add some sphagnum moss to your mix. This specific mix without adding anything to it worked perfectly for my phalaenopsis orchids. One thing to note is that if you got an orchid that comes in one of those smaller plastic pots (purchased at grocery store such as trader joes, ralphs, wholefood, etc.) and they packed all the roots in those tiny pots then you might want to change your pot to give the roots more room to breath. Transfer them to a bigger pot this way you can also add this mix (pick the smaller pieces if the big ones are still too big for your pot). You can always use the bigger pieces for the bottom of your pots. Don't forget to keep the roots that were out of the initial pot to be out of your new pot.
