A Festivus Miracle! A product has satisfied the notoriously impossible to please! (ME!)
I thought I would absolutely hate this thing...just as I hate most things. YES, I'm a negative individual who is constantly disappointed. Blame my alcoholic mother I guess. Anyway, this litter box was a nice surprise! You see, I have 6 cats in my crappy 2-bedroom apartment in Brooklyn. Yes, six. I can't stand people anymore so I rescue cats. Only the cats don't always appreciate it, and unless I sacrifice my first born or administer a ceremonial bloodletting to appease them, they go nuts and annoy me by loudly bickering with one another and ripping each others' fur off while I am trying to watch Real Housewives! Then I start to resent them, which sort of defeats the purpose of rescuing them in the first place. But I digress. See, cats are fussy and hard to please (we have that in common) and they are very territorial (hmmm...) I personally think they could use a little xanax in their lives...BUT since I don't have enough xanax to share, I try to keep the gang happy. Providing the right atmosphere keeps them chilled out and prevents them from kicking the crap out of any foster cats or peeing on my dead mother's antique art deco sofa (which still smells like Marlboro Reds, Black Velvet, and lung cancer). Anyway, I'm rambling here, but the point is that multiple cats require multiple litter boxes. And litter boxes are UGLY and smelly and messy. EW! But I do love the kitter kats, so I accommodate them. I have 3-4 litter boxes in my place, and technically, I should have 6 (according to even more expert cat ladies, I am a mere crotchety cat lady-in-training) So this is a way to keep the meow gang happy and not have an exposed plastic bin of steamy lumpy corn litter 3 feet from my left. And it actually doesn't look half-bad. Plus, I won't kill it slowly, the way I was murdering my dead grandmother's plants before I mercifully freecycled them to a couple of hipsters. Also, seems to keep the litter in fairly well. Cats like it too! Covered litter boxes are usually a no-no for me, I mean, do YOU like to use port-a-potties? Right. This has a charcoal filter on the top, which is vented. So it minimizes the kitty stink both in the room AND for kitty. Get this litter box. It made me hate the world slightly less and thus decreased the chances that I will become a serial killer. Good for everyone!
