This was the first epoxy resin I ever bought and I was thoroughly impressed with how easy it was to use. But then I had no bench mark of other resins. I was NOT a fan of the poorly made lids which never screwed on tightly again after the first use - I had to line the tops with plastic wrap and then screw on lid to get a tight fit. I didn't have many air bubbles (plus), easy to mix (plus), long working time (plus), and great finish (plus). I did however, continue to have issues with craters and the resin would not seem to "waterfall" over the edges evenly. I thought it was just my inexperience. Or not cleaning the project properly first. And chalked it all up to user error. But on my second purchase I decided to try a competitor brand for a comparison. And let's just say my issues were NOT user error. I've got perfectly waterfall edges and zero craters or blank spots. I suggest that this resin would work quite well for projects that have borders or molds. I don't think I would have ANY complaints using it that way. But if you are working with open projects like tiles or canvases ... pick another one. Edited ... Wow. I do have to add that the Dr. Crafty Resin company is truly customer service oriented! After being contacted about my review that quite generously offered compensation for my less than 100% satisfied review. I'm very impressed! I still recommend this epoxy resin for closed mold types of projects and since I'm considering trying my hand at some resin coasters, this will probably be my preferred brand.
