I just finished watching "The King of Staten Island" and I have a headache from holding my tears in (I didn't want my husband/teenagers to laugh at me). It was beautifully written and acted; it's like when you get pissed off at the end of a really good book because you didn't want it to end and now you miss it....? I never knew Pete Davidson was such a good actor! The story is obviously based on his real life but the way he outwardly expressed confusion, helplessness, frustration, and growth... I couldn't believe it. I'm used to laughing my head off at Pete Davidson's stand-up specials and SNL This Pete Davidson blew greats like Steve Buscemi & Marisa Tomei out of the water. I have to say, I've been streaming movies around the clock & they've all started blending together (leaving me pretty much numb afterwards 24/7). "The King of Staten Island" totally drew me in and spit me out. I'm going to go cry privately now.
