This is my second Bissell PowerFresh. The first changed my life, and finally got my tile floors clean and helped my children's eczema when learning the crawl. And then, the knob on the water tank split--as is a common and well-reviewed flaw on the machine. I ordered more and more knobs--they all split within weeks of coming in. My powerfresh sounded like a train whistle and lost all of its power, leaking water everywhere. I finally lost it, tossed it, and got a Shark (this one: https://www.amazon.com/Shark-Professional-Steam-Pocket-S3601/dp/B00FGBRS7Q/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=Shark+Professional+Steam+Pocket+Mop+-+S3601&qid=1557796328&s=home-garden&sr=1-4). From the beginning, I noticed it was not doing the same kind of job as the Bissell, but it worked. I hated how steam escaped on both sides. No matter how many pads I used, they always came away dirty. Finally, in a fit of Nesting Rage, I re-ordered the Bissell. My floors were two weeks worth of two toddlers/sunscreen/husband sweat/coffee drips dirty. I passed the Bissell once in my kitchen and the dried on spots and grease came up on the first pass. I moved on to the dining room and it easily got up dried on-food stains. I took off the FILTHY pad, and put on a fresh one, resigning myself to go over the kitchen again. I checked the pad after going over the kitchen a second time, and it was almost pristine white. The bissell cleaned the kitchen on its first pass! I almost cried with joy. Now, I know that this joy will be short-lived. But damned if this steam mop, despite its flaw, isn't worth buying every single year to keep my really gross floors clean. If you FIXED the tank issue, Bissell, it would be the most stellar product on the market. But you don't have to, do you? Because you already ARE the most stellar product on the market, even with your tank-knob cracking ways. You abuse me, but I'll keep coming back to you if you keep my floors this clean. I guess I'm an addict.
