Deployment-ready camp chair - long term review
This chair has been great. It has gone through 2 annual trainings for the Army, a field-heavy 6-week mobilization in Fort Hood and 98% of the deployment. I'm a little under 200 pounds and was not easy on this chair. I had sat in it multiple times and a lot of the time, used it in full kit to include front, side and rear ensapi plates and a rucksack. I'm sure the weight of me with all my gear was in excess of 300 pounds. The chair didn't miss a beat during these beatings but broke about a week before the end of the deployment. The slight angle allowed me to lean back and take a nap or lean forward and chit chat during downtime. From being enlisted for almost 9 years, I have spent hundreds on camp chairs, ranging from $20 to $50. None of them have lasted longer than a few weeks, they always feel slimsy, and the cannot fit in my rucksack. This $30 pricetag on a chair far exceeded my expectations on comfort and value. I believe if I didnt beat this chair down by exceeding the 250 pound weight limit it would have last me much longer. I have referred this chair to my Army buddies and will definitely be buying another in the near future.
