This is an imitation of Sorel Joan of Arctic Wedge ii in camel (retails at $200) and a very good imitation. Sorel boasts full-grain leather, while this does not. Obviously there is a huge price difference, and that comes with the quality. These do not offer as much structural support as the name brand ones, and they don't feel as sturdy on the upper fabric, at the ankle, etc. Sorels are pretty stiff and sturdy, giving the feeling of strong support. These feel much "thinner" and subsequently "weaker." The fabric is obviously not as good, but again, this is all reflected in the price. For the price, they're an awesome imitation for the name brand product. However, as I took quality into consideration, I am opting to return these and am going with used Sorels. Direct compared to Sorels, these have a slightly smaller profile. Not that the size runs smaller, but just that the shoe itself is less bulky than the name brand. You can see this in some of the side by side photos comparing the name brand shoe to this version. Overall impression: this is a great shoe if you are looking to save major bucks, however, you'll be sacrificing quality. I would not expect these shoes to last as long as Sorel's. If you are not planning frequent wears and just want something for occasional use then this will probably do the trick. If you want higher quality and something that will last longer for more frequent use, I would probably spring for the name brand product.
