The loop of the wires goes on the door handle to keep it from falling. Then arm the device. No one gets in without you knowing about it. And it's got an LED flashlight built in too. This goes on trips with us and is sometimes used at home. We bought several of these, we call them "SCREAMER"s. Cause that's what they do when you open the door. It'll scare the crap out of you if the wife forgets to remove it from the front door before you arrive home from work. Don't ask me how I know that.
