I have owned this meter for 2-years. I bought this unit at the same time that I bought my humidifier. I like to know what my humidity is doing at all times. Bellow 30%, I start getting shocked by everything metal in my house, my breathing worsens, and sleeping is more difficult. 40% is truly the sweet spot, as I don't get shocked, I breath easy, and sleep easy. But you don't want the humidity in your house above 50%, then it gets far too humid and you start sweating, or could cause electrical damage to electronics. The meter is super simple, and super easy to use. Just slip an AA battery in it, and its already been running on the same battery for 2-years! Clearly its efficient on batteries, cause most devices won't last that long on batteries. There is a button on the back to switch measurements from F to C, depending on where you life. I have never had a problem with it, and I highly recommend it. 5-STARS! UPDATE: Jan 13th 2019 I wanted to give people a quick update, to let you all know, that my meter is still working. In the 3-years that I've owned it, I've only had to replace the batteries in it once. It lasts a long time on those Energizer alkaline LR6 batteries. The LED's in the display screen has never faded, and the meter continues to be accurate. For anybody who might be wondering longevity with this meter, rest assured, its quite good. I keep my rating at 5 out of 5 stars!
