I cannot believe some of the negative reviews of this leash. I have used mine at least once a day for almost a year with no problems whatsoever. For those who have complained about there dogs chewing through the leash, I would ask them: "Where were you when your dog chewed through the leash. Many breeds - and ALL puppies - will chew almost anything within reach. Puppies are teething, and their teeth are very sharp. And you are surprised that they chew through the leash??? Almost no fabric leash is safe to use unattended. For those who complained that the clasp had broken: Do you have a Husky or Malamute or Pit Bull? Many dogs are strong enough to break almost any clasp. I once had a German Shepherd that broke a thick steel heavy duty chain. I think that dog could tow a truck. Finally, there are very few bad dogs but many, many bad dog owners. If you care enough about your dog, you will see and stop any bad behavior - including chewing through a leash and yanking on a leash soo hard that the clasp breaks.
