Let me start by saying this is a nice product. Well-built and even looks nice. But be warned, this adapter does not support 4-pole connectors (cable ends with 3-rings), only standard stereo (cable ends with 2-rings). It is stated in the products description that it works with “standard stereo”, but I don’t think many people think about it when reading (I know I didn’t) and a lot of headphones today have 4-pole plugs so they can support inline-microphones (i.e. cell phones). To help clarify I posted a photo that shows a 4-pole connector (3 black rings) and a standard stereo connector (2 black rings). If the headphones or other device that you are using has a connecter 3-rings, then this adapter will not work for you.
