Six of my friends claimed their Z3 died within a few months of purchase. THEY WERE WRONG!!! In each case, I showed them that the extremely popular 64GB memory card they purchased should NEVER BE USED in the Z3. All these people were using a 64GB SanDisk ULTRA card. They purchased it because Amazon shows on the Z3 page that it as frequently purchased with the Z3 dash cam. (AMAZON, PLEASE STOP DOING THAT!!!) The problem is that the card has a "Write Speed" that is too slow for the Z3 (the "Read Speed" is OK, but the "Write Speed" sucks!). After the SanDisk Ultra card finally becomes full and the dash cam begins overwriting the oldest video files, the camera stops operating correctly and the user believes their camera has just died. (The Z3 is not harmed by this, and changing to the correct memory card fixes the problem.) SanDisk makes memory cards with faster Write Speeds. A Write speed of 20 MB/second works just fine. Faster than that is unnecessary. The Write Speed of the 64GB SanDisk Ultra card is only 10MB/sec.
