I have had a Toastmaster bread machine for probably close to 20 years. I hadn’t used it in the past few years, but with being stuck inside, I started using it again. And wouldn’t you know, after a week, it went up and died! So,I started researching machines, like my name says. 😂 I looked at sites outside of Amazon, where they give the rundown of the best 5 or 10 machines. I read all the reviews, and obsess over the negative ones. I drive myself and my spouse crazy, lol! Anyways, the KBS brand came up more than once. So I looked further as to why there are different models, that look alike. This model, MBF-011 was available on the market a full year after the others, and has the double tubes for more even baking. It came out 10/29/2019 The MBF-010 (Silver) and the MBF-020 came out in June 2018, within 5 days of each other. The MBF-020 is a little less expensive at $152.99, it has no fruit dispenser. There is another model, MBF-016 that sells for $112.99, that also has no fruit dispenser. I didn’t really look into that one much, you get what you pay for. It also came out in 2019, 10 days prior to this model. When I emailed the company, they had said they were always looking to make their products better, that’s why they put out different models. The bread I’ve made from it has come out fantastic every time. I use recipes from different sources, the Internet, the book they provide, plus a couple more that I have bought. Some of the recipes are ones I made on my old machine before it died. No comparison, hands down a great machine. I love the horizontal bucket as well. The customer service has been very accommodating as well. When I contacted byran@jmkbs.com to extend the warranty as they said they would do, he got right back to me. I had also asked if there was a digital copy of the manual, similar to the one posted on the MBF-010 site, since I like to keep a digital copy in case I lose the hard copy. He sent me part of it, where the recipes were, that I actually didn’t have, and a link to the Bread cookbook by Beth Hensperger. Even though I have other cookbooks, and some of her methods are unusual, I find myself using her recipes more than the others. I know some people have said they were unable to get in touch with customer service, however each time I reached out to them, I received an answer within 24 hours. I hope this long review helps someone who is on the fence about this machine. I am very happy with my purchase.
