I didn't 'get' this product when I first saw it. I thought it was adhesive-based, but it's not. You open your phone case (mine is a Rokform), plop the OUTXE insert in your case, run the short nylon strap through your case's power plug hole, then put your case back on your phone. Check out my pictures. Then clip the lanyard, or wrist strap, or WHATEVER you want, to the split ring. It comes with 4 'attachers', so I gave one to my son, my wife and have one left over! They're small and subtle enough to leave on/in your phone, and attach to whatever key-ring-like thing you want.
