You can tell this is earth friendly because it doesn't "suds" like regular soap..but it does seem effective and has a pleasant smell. I purchased this for my parent's rustic cabin where we have typically toss the "gray water" out into the woods after doing dishes. I've even used it for washing my hair in the lake. Much better alternative than using dish soap or shampoo in environmentally sensitive areas.
