incredible and Precise Replica (Beauty Good)
Okay, so full disclosure, I don't have a real Neverfull Damier to compare with, but I've looked into a lot of different "Real vs. Fake" videos and articles and feel like I have a pretty good grasp on what to look for. There are only a few "giveaways" that this bag has, and I'd say you could absolutely fool the average consumer into thinking this is legit. Most fakes have much more glaring issues, whereas this one is near perfect to the untrained eye. I ordered the Neverfull MM Brown from Beauty Good (not Beauty good). It was called "Woag", which truly makes no sense to me, but it's the knockoff for the Damier Ebene. It arrived early- like a whole month early, so right off the bat, that was a huge plus. There are a lot of super precise details that this bag totally nailed, which I find to be pretty impressive. Here's what I've gathered:
Characteristics consistent with an authentic Neverfull:
-A MM will have a total of 6 logos on both sides. The logos are 5 checkers from the left, 5 from the right, directly between those 2 (15 from each side). The top row of logos is 5 checkers from the top and the bottom row is 3 from the bottom.
-The outer logos fall under the leather piece that attaches the D-ring to the bag
-The "V" stitching in the straps contains 5 stitches
-The side seams that connect the front of the bag with the back is symmetrical. The checkers line up perfectly.
-The pattern carries all the way through the bottom
-The bottom of the bag is a rounded rectangle, not a sharp rectangle or oval shape.
-The stitching that attaches the straps to the bag show through on the lining of the bag. The gold circle hardware should also be visible on the lining.
-The inner zippered pocket is the entire length of the bag, and is a flap, not an anchored pocket.
-The inner lining of the bag has patterned sides and a solid bottom.
-The lining's side seams are reinforced with grosgrain ribbon.
Replica Differences:
-The stitching throughout the bag and straps should all be the dark brown, with the exception of the SIDE stitching. Those stitches should be lighter, to match the lighter colored checkers. This bag has the dark stitching, even on the sides.
-The hardware on the bag should be more of a polished, lustrous gold. The hardware on this replica is more of a matte, brushed gold.
-The piping that connects the bottom panel of the bag with the sides should be thinner. In authentic bags, it's a very thin tube of piping. This bag is SLIGHTLY more prominent. I think you'd only notice this difference if you held an authentic bag directly next to this one.
-The bottom of a MM bag should have just 1 LV logo. You will NEVER see a cropped or disfigured logo on an authentic bag. This bag has 2 (barely visible) cropped logos on the bottom. You cannot see this issue unless you flip the bag over. Needless to say, I'm not worried about people noticing this.
All in all, this is a really great replica, and I'm really pleased with it. The "inconsistencies" are so minor, and I think very few people would even notice them at all.
