I have been growing my hair out for three years now and in the past six months I started to struggle a lot with breakage at the end of my hair and split ends. Braiding my hair at night seemed to cause the ends that were free of the hair tie to become dry and straw-like overnight. I tried this silk cap hoping that it would keep my hair from breaking as much when worn overnight. I've used it for about a week now and I am very pleased with the results. My end breakage is down by around 90% and the ends of my hair look much less dry. It is very comfortable to wear and the elastic doesn't dig into my scalp or forehead (I wear a 7 1/4 hat size and put the cap behind my ears and wear the top up near my hairline instead of on my forehead). I did turn the cap inside out - the silk is woven in a satin weave, meaning that one side is shinier and more slippery than the other, and I wanted that side to be the one contacting my hair. It works fine, just doesn't look as good on. (Not that one can look awesome wearing a sleep cap. I told my husband if he hates it I won't wear it any more, but he seems to be amused by the entire thing.) It's quite comfortable to sleep in, and I'm a bit of a picky sleeper. Overall, very much a success, especially for the price.
