Don't be misled by its name, it's not just for bacon! Recently, I've been trying to eat healthier, yet, I still crave for a hamburger or slice of pizza once in a while. Last night, I had a two frozen Spice Black Bean vegan burgers by MorningStar Farms using this grill. Directions call for microwaving the burger on a microwavable plate for up to 80 seconds, turning it over half way through the cooking cycle. Turning the burger is almost a must if you want the burger to heat properly throughout. Using this microwave grill, I eliminated having to worry about turning the burger halfway through the cooking cycle. Since the grill keeps the food from touching a flat surface like a plate, food heats evenly without needing to be turned. It works great with frozen foods like pizza slices, apple turnovers, burritos, or anything that would end up having a soggy cool bottom if it were microwaved on a plate. Another nice feature is the vented cover that comes with the grille that keeps the food from drying out while being microwaved.
