While I am not a coffee drinker my husband is. I thought I would surprise him with this as an anniversary present. It's very sturdy, it is not easy to accidentally knock over. If making him some as part of the surprise, I found it difficult to get it apart to initially wash all the parts. Getting the filter out was the hardest. Once everything was clean I followed the well written instructions and filled the loose coffee into the filter. After setting the filter just on top of the carafe, under it's own weight it kept slipping into place. While filling with water its suppose to it above so this proved to be a challenge. After the process of adding water was over I cleaned where the lid sits, placed the lid and let it do its thing in the refrigerator. We let it sit for 16 hours an my husban thought it was still a little weak so went the full 24. He said it was ok. I'll keep trying to cold brew the perfect cup in the mean time. As my title states, patience is required for this process. It takes time from filling the coffee and adding the water. I want to say a good 10 minutes start to finish. Then of course waiting the 16-24 hours for it to be ready. Might be nice for a casual weekend but not really something for a busy week day.
