I meal prep about 3 lbs of steak each week. I took it out of the box and had it seasoning within 3 minutes. After seasoning it on high for 20 minutes ( there was no obnoxious smell during this time ) I placed the three lbs of steak on it all at once. Cooked it on one side for 6 minutes, turned it down to 350 and cooked it 5 minutes in the other side. Not only did it sear the meat and seal in flavor and moisture but cooked my steak medium rare like I wanted with NO SMOKE IN MY HOUSE!!!! Clean up was a breeze which I did by hand even though I could have put the top In dish washer if I wanted. Wry pleases with this product and would Recommend it
