Very nice unit! I deducted one star only because the remote should have better controls and the controls on the unit itself are not backlit. The remote will adjust levels of the fire but will only turn the heat on or off not adjust temperature, It can also set a timer. The controls are at the bottom hidden behind the door and because they are not backlit you need lights on or a flashlight to see them to adjust. You also can't really see them when adjusting with the remote so need the door open for the timer. I never really use the timer function myself so cannot comment much on that. Functionally it heats great like my other infrared heater and looks very realistic like a real fire. The light adjustments for the fire are cool too, allowing you to adjust different levels of flames. Structurally it is very solid with a sheet metal housing (I think probably layered over a structure because it feels quite solid) and beveled glass. It has Plastic legs but they are secured with 3 screws each and very sturdy. There is nothing cheap of flimsy about it.
