As a former car seat installer I really likes this model.
I used to install car seats. I had a Graco SnugRide when I had my child many years ago. This particular model blew me away with different features.
1. The base is much easier to tighten than the Graco as there is a strap on top of the base to cinch it tight when using the LATCH system.
2. The hooks to attach to the vehicle when using the LATCH system is easy to attach to the vehicle and release once attached using a seatbelt button type release.
3. I called the company and YES the handle on the car seat can be kept in any of the three positions while the vehicle is in motion!!! I called as was not confirmed on the manual.
4. It is clarified which end faces toward the front of the vehicle on the base. I have seen many not know how to position the base
The seat
1. 5 point harness is able to be tightened by pulling on a strap right between baby’s legs
2. Chest plate is easy to fasten and unfasten.
3. The buckle that go into the harness can be done independently of each other. I have seen seats where the user had to lock the clips together and then fasten them as a unit into the harness.
4. It is very easy to unfasten and loosen the straps to remove the child from the seat and of course it is easy to fasten child in the seat too!
5. The visor doesn’t interfere with the handle when In the carrying position.
I am really impressed how nice this unit is. Of course, if you plan on using it in the middle back seat make sure the vehicle has LATCH for the middle. If the vehicle doesn’t have LATCH you would need to use the seatbelt to tighten the base. Most vehicles if you pull the seatbelt all the way out it will switch from adjustable to a locking belt.
Hope this help make a decision you feel confident about!
