Purchased this item a couple weeks ago. I was happy it came a lot faster then I thought it would, which is a huge plus since I was so excited about it. When I got the diffuser it was simple to put together(I did right away), it covers a good sized area for such a small item! I have not been bothered by the hum it makes. I am sad to say that yesterday it started turning off about a minute into the cycle and I am not sure why. I have emailed the company to see if they have any suggestions. I really do not want to have to go through the hassle of returning it for a new one! I will keep my fingers crossed for a speedy answer and come back to update once this problem has been fixed. This was to expensive of an item to stop working! UPDATE****As I stated in my comment I returned the base and they received it Friday the 16 and I received it back today the 19. I was so excited to get it back only to find it has been chipped in a couple places, and once I got it up and running it is now at least 3 times louder then originally was. Hoping that it will actually last this time even with the horrid sound now coming from it UPDATE****Emailed the company about the sound and the chips. It was definitely damage done from usps. The company is being great and sending me a whole new base and even letting me keep the one I have until I get the new one. Even with all these issues I still love look and efficiency of the diffuser. The company is definitely doing everything to make me happy!
