If you want NEEM for your garden, you've got to have THIS neem, NAKED NEEM. The stuff at the nurseries is SO refined, it WON'T even deter the pests and diseases from your plants. We were FOOLED when we tried the "Garden Safe Neem Oil Extract for Organic Gardening" $15, plus one other brand of "neem extract" which I already threw away. The APHIDS were virtually undaunted and jubilant because the neem in those products is so refined it's actually another chemical - Clarified Hydrophobic Extract of Neem. That chemical does NOTHING. ALL the beneficial elements have been removed. I sprayed THIS product NAKED NEEM on my entire yard, and I have at least 25 trees (mimosa, palms, 3 citrus, saguaro, eucalyptus, cyprus) plus about 150 other shrubs ( hibiscus, roses, oleanders, grasses, herbs, azalea, wisteria, lantana) and many kinds of vines (queens wreath, star jasmine, honeysuckle, cats claw, lilac vine) etc. They're now doing FANTASTIC, pest and disease free. Look at some YouTubes on the subject, if you don't believe me. I've tried everything from malathion to "eight". Also, this won't kill honey bees! Whoo-hoo! I'm buying the gallon size from now on! As always, spray early or late in the day, and not in direct sun. In humid or damp weathers, early a.m. is best.
