I was skeptical when I saw this mop on a 'As Seen On TV' commercial, but I believe people who like to clean so they can live in a clean home are always looking for easier ways to get the job done. Before seeing this mop, I have never purchased or owned a mop that I liked. They got water everywhere and I was unable to wring the water out without creating another mess. And I felt like I was really just pushing dirty water around the floor anyway. I have owned a few Swifter Wet mops which were nice because I could just replace the old dirty pad with a clean one...but the pads cost more than I wanted to spend on cleaning. The last Swifter I bought was the latest greatest so I threw my old Swifter away. Wouldn't you know it...a few days later the handle broke while I was mopping. I guess they figured the old Swifter Mops were lasting too long so they had to make them more fragile so the need to replace them more often existed.. So I tried to glue-tape the handle back on, refusing to buy another one, and I continued on like this with my new broken Swifter until I saw this Spin Mop on TV. I hardly ever order anything off of TV, but I had to have this mop. I placed my order, not caring that the Spin Mop cost more than I could ever have imagined, but I told myself it was worth it. In anticipation of my new Spin Mop arriving, I threw away the Swifter and decided to use my old 'manual' mops until it arrived in a few weeks. A few weeks came and went but no mop arrived on my doorstep as promised. I went back online and finally figured out my order had not even been processed and since they didn't claim my payment on time, the money went back on my card. That's when I got the bright idea to look on Amazon and there it was...the coveted Spin Mop...and for half the amount I had just spent for a mop that never arrived. I read the comments about it on Facebook, which were mostly very positive, and decided I had to have it now. I was able to cancel my order from the TV commercial and then immediately order the upgraded, no-pedal Spin Mop from Amazon. I received the mop in a few days...thank you Amazon...and while mopping is still a dirty job, it no longer costs a fortune buying new pads and my floors are clean. The spinner removes all the excess, dirty water from the mop almost instantly and I now am experiencing damp mopping as it should be. I also ordered two extra mop pads so I always have a clean one for the floor and another clean one to dust with. Yes...I said dust...this mop doubles as an excellent duster which I can reach anything with in my home. That means no more Swifter duster replacements as well. So if you like clean without intensive labor and without spending money on pads you use once and throw away...get this mop. I highly recommend it along with many other happy Spin Mop owners.
