Used at thanksgiving. It’s not protective as my hot dishes made rings on the wood when I used this to protect the wood in the first place. It doesn’t slide around. But next time I use it I’ll have to add some towels under it. I had pots an casserole dishes an all left rings on the wood. At least I’m going to refinish it anyway. Prob better for glass or decorative runner for a snack buffet or bar. Hot dishes on it failed. It didn’t burn. Oh an there is a label on the back that was impossible to remove so the dishes burn that into the wood too.
