Ordered this to replace my 3-year old terrible kettle. This one is great - I'm so relieved. Good points: 1) Handle can be picked up with a bare hand, don't need a towel or mitt most of the time 2) Button for flipping up the spout works well 3) Can pull off the lid with the same hand that holds it by the handle (for refilling even when it's hot) 4) Solid body means no glued-on bottom that can eventually fail 5) NO DRIBBLE - spout pours cleanly 6) Loud whistle 7) Steam from spout does not burn hand during pour I'd say the only downside, depending on your point of view, is that the whistle can be a little too loud. It starts quietly and slowly builds to a mildly alarming shriek. I do not mind this because it gets me over there to shut the thing off - but could be too loud for some. Well-designed, this thing. Hope it lasts a long time!
