This is exactly what I was looking for, for both me and my plants. Super easy to set up, makes very little noise, just a nice ambient sound with some water bubbling. The mist is powerful and cool and it's super easy to fill up without it being messy and annoying like other humidifiers i've had. Get one! UPDATE; after a few months of use, the unit made a large "ZAP" sound and then shorted out/broke. sad!
