Due to knee problems I was search for a toilet seat that would lift me about 3 inches. I was very apprehensive due to some of the reviews of this chair. Also the photos do not depict how it keeps from slipping off the toilet bowl. I decided to go with this one because I have a round toiilet and it was reasonable. The first thing I noticed when it arrived was it was a nice weight and very sturdy. The underside has a rim which extends into the toilet bowl about 2 inches making it impossible to slip. Also there are slip proof pads on the underside of the seat. I was amazed that none of this was shown in the photos. This is definitely ONLY for a round toilet. It fits snugly and is easily removed for cleaning or privacy issues.
