The case is well built and the apple pencil 2 charged fine in the molded side of the case. I liked how the lid fits down into a shallow recess preventing it from sliding about on the front of the screen area and adding more stability and protection if dropped. They also were thoughtful enough to ensure that the charging area is protected but not obscured for ease of charging. Now for a few cons, my wife bought a couple of the new rubber covers made for the Apple Pencil for ease of grip and comfort and while thin they still did not allow charging from the case. The only other small issue I noticed with the case was that there is a small thin rubber bead around the front leading edge of the case keeping it secured nicely this bead can sometimes cause a screen protector to pucker up a little leaving a slight air pocket under the edge the air pocket stayed on the black edge of the iPad Air 4 screen area and not into the main screen area but was a little annoying so try to make sure it rests on top of the protector and doesn’t press against it. So all in all would I buy it again yes it’s very well made and looks great for office and other work areas are there more protected cases out there sure but they lack functionality and aesthetic appearance . So this is really about what you’re lifestyle needs.
