Why is this a beginners/starter bike again?
The Schwinn Phocus 1600 frame takes its roots from the Kinesis Industry 6061 aluminum frame that comprises almost all of the frames sold in the world. Some include Trek, Giant, Schwinn, Fuji, Specialized, Cannondale, Bikes direct line an so on.
One can't actually believe that that there is someone at the Kineses production line mixing up a special batch of aluminum for each bike that goes down the line. That covers the frame.
The Shimano groupset is the Claris 2400, a SR Suntuor crankset and DNP Epoch Hyperwave 8 speed freehub (not freewheel). With Microshift levers. This is not a 14 speed bike as in the description, it is a 16 speed (2 speed crank side 8 speed cassette.)
The seat and all the other components are bike shop quality. The bike weighs 26 pounds with the comfort saddle which is very light.
This is for a person over 5'8". they have a 16" model too but it is listed as a women's model Phocus 1600.
This bike rides like the wind and will last for many years with proper maintenance :)
I have posted a detailed assembly video and a test drive on YouTube. just put the user name "codieraji" in the search window. or "Schwinn Phocus 1600 Assembly Review Test Ride"
