First, a little background about me. I am a student majoring in IT and I will graduate in May. I searched for several weeks for a professional-looking bag to carry my 15" Macbook Pro, my charger, pens, and a few notebooks and books. I also knew that I preferred a distressed leather bag with slide-in buckles and a very sturdy shoulder strap (that wouldn't stretch out with use). I searched website after website and went back and forth to Amazon. I finally decided to purchase the 15-Inch Retro Buffalo Hunter Leather bag from KomalC. This bag is AMAZING! It came packaged very carefully with every buckle individually wrapped in protective paper. The entire bag was enclosed in paper and plastic, and there was a personally signed note from Komal himself explaining how to care for the bag and how to contact him with any issues. The first test was to make sure it fit my 15" Macbook Pro, which it did with room to spare. The laptop compartment is padded and has a velcro leather strap to hold the laptop in place. There is plenty of room for my notebooks and one textbook. The main compartment also has a special place for pens and two small inside pockets for various accessories. On the front of the bag, right underneath the flap, there are two pockets that hold my Macbook charger, medications, and various other cables. There is also a zippered pocket on the back of the bag that will beuseful for carrying magazines, plane tickets, etc. The color of the bag itself is exactly what I wanted. It came as a lighter color than is pictured, but I bought a $5.00 can of mink oil and rubbed it down. Now it is the perfect dark brown like the picture and should be water resistant as well (thanks to the mink oil). The leather is very sturdy and holds up well when the bag is sitting on the floor...it doesn't fall over like a lot of the more expensive bags. Also, the shoulder strap is surprisingly comfortable when wearing the bag across my body. (I had previously tried another more expensive Italian leather bag that my wife has, but it cut into my shoulder something awful and made my neck hurt.) The only issue I've had with the bag is that after about a week of use (carrying it to work and school and back), one of the slide buckles will no longer hold (it just slides out) and keeps the flap from securing on one side. I emailed Komal directly and he is sending a replacement buckle free of charge. That, my friends, is EXCELLENT customer service. Komal is a fine leather craftsman, and I would not hesitate to purchase another bag or leather item from him. If you are on the fence with this bag, you will not find a better bag for such a great price. Thanks for reading!
