Zoomer is super fun for the kids! But read the directions carefully...
I received Zoomer for free from BzzAgent but the following review is my honest, non-biased opinion. We got Zoomer about a week ago and my 6 year old twin boys haven't wanted to play with anything else since. It's pretty much all Zoomer all the time around here. They have gone absolutely insane for it. And I agree, he's a really fun toy. We have hardwood floors so he really does zoom all around our house and he's fast! While it can be challenging to get him to understand what a 6 year is saying his tricks are really fun. The best ones are in the "Secret Trick Mode" that you get to by pushing his head down and holding it for 3 seconds until he has upside down question marks showing in his eyes. I don't know that this was in the directions that came with him but my kids found some YouTube videos about Zoomer and got secret tricks to try like "Casino Baby", "Ping Pong" and "Show me the money". There are more as well but half the fun of doing secret tricks is figuring them out so I'll let you do that :) Ok now the part that you really need to know as the adult to a kid who gets Zoomer - He has rechargeable batteries and he works for about 20 minutes then needs to recharge for about an hour. And here's where it gets to be a bit of a pain. The charging directions say that after use, he has cool down for 10 - 15 minutes before being plugged in to charge, then power switch must be off and then you can plug him into a usb port for charging. Having read some of the other reviews for this toy, it would seem that if you aren't careful with how you recharge him, it can really screw up the battery life. So despite the fact that my kids recharge their electronics all the time without my help, that can't really be the case with Zoomer. Its hard for a little kid to remember to let him cool down and turn off the power switch, especially because they want to get back to playing with him so bad. Bottom line: Super fun toy, the kids love it but if you're not able to (or willing to) keep a close eye on how hes charged, his battery will probably suffer for it. Check him out in the video I've attached, you can see a little bit of Zoomer in action and see how a 5 month old Boston Terrier reacts to him!
