I have flat feet and weak ankles. When I stand my ankles turn inward (over pronation). This stretches the inside tendons at the ankle and causes pain. My podiatrist recommended a Spenco sole which provided a firm plate from the arch to the back of the heel. Unfortunately these caused significant heel pain. After doing an internet search I found the Sof Sole inserts that have the same arch support, but also have a soft cushion in the heel. Ahhh....at last, both problems solved. Amazon provides reliable service at the lowest cost for these shoe inserts. .
