I used this to clean our shower drain, it had started to become slow in draining. On mine, you can pop off the drain cover and have easy access to the opening, then replace the cover when done. Here is what I learned: for the love of God turn on the bathroom fan before you send this thing down the drain hole. I might suggest also a face mask or kerchief over your nose. Be ready with a waterproof garbage bag and gloves. Because what you pull out is the most vile disgusting smelling and looking wad of muck you can ever imagine in your life. Seriously do some positive self talk beforehand. Maybe pray a little. Then send the little grabber down. While it is totally disgusting what you pull out, and you can send it down several times to pull out the complete clog/mess, you will be giving yourself a high five when you're done that you took care of it yourself, saved yourself the cost of a plumber, and literally it takes maybe 10 minutes of your life. I poured a bit of bleach down at the end (always run the bathroom fan when using bleach!). So buy this, get it done, and do a victory dance cuz it's over.
