I purchased this for my rat terrier. She had another '7 month' brand. Worked well, but the seven months were past. I really didn't want to spend the money I had in the past, as I have 3 other dogs as well (chihuahua). Gets a little pricey. I saw this listing and the ratings were very good. I decided to purchase two. When it arrived, I immediately opened it, ready to put on my terrior. I was surprised the collar material was very thick and rather difficult to put it on her as I could not pull the initial part through the loop. I got a pair of pliers, start tugging and finally got it past that hurdle. I then put the collar on her still quite lose and pulled to the desired length, then cut off the excess. I gave the collar 4 stars due to it 'stiffness and difficulty sliding through the loops. But it is a good collar. Wonderfully surprised and pleased. Immediately she stopped her scratching. She has now had it on for two days with great success. I did notice it was stated that this also helped with skin allergies, which is exactly what she apparently has. I am thrilled she has relieve. Now I can purchase two more for the 'little ones'. Thank you
