Read the description in it's entirety
I'm going to throw out a four star review just in order to get this information out.
All the nay sayers are all saying the same thing. "It doesn't work". Let me ask you all a question. Did you get a converter? Well?
The description of this product is VERY explicit in stating that it ONLY transmits data. If your output device (DVD, Blu-Ray Player, etc) "speaks" digital and your input device (TV) "speaks" analog, IT WON'T WORK.
If you only speak Spanish and I only speak English then we can talk all day. We can hear each other but there is no communication going on. We need a translator in order to understand one another.
The same thing applies to your devices. If they both "speak" digital, you're golden. If your TV is analog, which is probably what most people have if they're using RCA plugs, then you need a translator, otherwise known as a converter.
Did you have to buy a digital converter box when your local stations stopped broadcasting in analog? It's the same thing. Whether the signal is broadcast out in the open or is "pumped" directly into your TV, then... wait for it... your TV doesn't speak digital.
This is stated quite clearly numerous times in the product description at the top AND the bottom of the page.
To be blunt, if you can get to Amazon, then you can get to Google and if you can get to Google then you can research what it is that you need, then make an informed buying decision.
This is an informed buying decision for me. I may have the need to connect a digital device to an analog device which means I'll be getting this particular cable AND a converter.
Just to make it as perfectly clear as I can, I do not own this yet. I am putting this "review" up to help inform people why this cable probably doesn't work for them.
