My 2nd Scooter Review
I bought two scooters as my apartment has five, narrow levels and, having already broken my leg falling down the stairs once, I didn’t feel comfortable dragging a heavy scooter up and down the stairs while I scooted up and down them. I originally purchased the regular KneeRover scooter in hot pink (the $169 one) but wanted a second one that could just live on the bedroom level. This one is much lighter, more nimble, and has a better turn radius than my other scooter. The downside to that is that the front wheels can be turned completely sideways which makes the scooter more likely to tip over. Just something to be aware of/avoid. The knee pad is very hard - if this were my main scooter, I would definitely try and find a foam pad. Since I’m mainly just using it to go from the bedroom, to the bathroom, and back, I’m not going to bother with it. It also doesn’t have a basket which is kind of annoying but does make it smaller and easier to manuever so it is a trade-off. The wheels on this one don’t seem as good as the more expensive model but should be sufficient for indoor use. So much better than dragging crutches with me up and down the stairs every time - I’m very thankful for my knee scooters!
Editing my review to add that I actually had installed the front wheels backwards when I first got the scooter and that was causing my issues with the scooter being unstable on turns. Since I fixed it, I haven’t had anymore issues.
