5 Stars --- Notwithstanding aesthetic notes below, Cooling Performance is excellent on a maxed-out Laptop.
Cooling operation is excellent on a High-End Intel i7. The following notes are are merely aesthetic considerations, only. Three months of 24/7 Operation has performed flawlessly. 1.) No underside channeling provided for the USB Power Cable. The power cable just sits in a loose nested bundle under the Cooling Pad Chassis. A potential physical hazard. 2. The Rear Stand-Up legs are too high. When using the Rear Stand-Up Legs the horizontal angle of the LapTop is over 30-Degrees. Ergonomically: Way Too Steep. 3. The aesthetic view of the LapTop Cooling-Pad is horridly ugly. Viewing it from the “Side”, or from the Rear looks like a hokey set-up, with no attempt of the visual effect: No attempt at stream lining the set-up. From a visual perspective; and from a physical integrity perspective, BELKIN has developed the perfect Form Factor. --If BELKIN built a multi-fan [more powerful] Cooling Pad, all the rest of these OEM vendors would disappear in a few months. Running an iCore CPU generates a tremendous amount of heat. The Trade-Off here, is MORE COOLING CAPACITY with LESS PHYSICAL INTEGRITY in a visually ugly implementation, with poor (greater than 30 Degrees) Key-Board surface angle. The upside is that your iCore CPU will not Thermal Destruct itself. Cooling Capacity of the Tree New Bee Cooling Pad IS ADEQUATE on an Intel i7 machine. I am waiting to see a BELKIN solution at under $70.00
