I was very skeptical at first$500 for a book but I pulled the trigger. Wow the things in this book and the things going on in the world. Now I understand why this book is soo expensive. Blacks go from slaves, to 3/5 of a man to free but not free. 13th Amendment, making felons loose voting right, right to own gun and then let's lock them (blacks) up for petty crimes (drugs) but on felony counts. This book shows how white men have systematically kept black people in bandage even after declaring them free. Free but a constitutional Amendment to vote, but make even the smallest crime a felony to one lock them up for slave labor and take away any means for them to survive after prison, if they are allowed to get out. Reminds me of the Shawshank Redemption. I split this book with my book club 12 people and were fighting over it during this pandemic.
